There is certainly a good selection of Irish Pubs in the area. In Oak Square there's Castlebar (beautiful woodwork)and the Last Drop (College crowd) but neither have food. The GreenBriar in Brighton Center has good food, drinks and Irish music. But my absolute favorite is the Common Ground on Harvard Ave. in Allston. Great food, beer, music, crowd, even the bouncers are cool!
