Here's to Old Times!
Remember the friends and fun we made while performing and producing Our Lady of the Presentation Minstrel Shows?
Remember the countless hours of rehearsal at the Villa? Sure helped beat those cold Brighton winters.
Remember how proud George and Mary Lou McCormack and Eileen McClellan were of all of us?
It was a great time. A wonderful endeavor! And a genuine labor of love from the parents and participants of the greatest neighborhood in the world.... Brighton Massachusetts.
It is with enormous excitement that we announce the date of our upcoming Minstrel Show Reunion.
Please come Friday November 5, 2004 7:00 PM
To the Post 440 VFW California Street Newton, MA
Our dear friend and extraordinary talent, Dottie Dean will be with us on this special evening to play many of the wonderful tunes we performed in the shows.
Soloists are encouraged to look over your lyrics... you never know if you’ll be called upon to entertain, one more time!
This amazing piece of history is captured forever in our hearts. Let’s come together one more time to renew old friendships, share stories, reminisce, sing, see photos and EVEN enjoy film footage of the 1979 show!
We hope you will be there.... performers, volunteers, audience members.... absolutely anyone who remembers our Minstrel Shows as fondly as we do.
For a blast of a reunion and a tremendous opportunity to relive a time so special to all of us!
Tickets are $10.00 (Net Proceeds to Benefit Our Lady of the Presentation School)

Again, moving to the area in a couple weeks.... What's the status of the "new" Y? When will it be ready, and the ugly construction fences come down?? I'd also like to help with landscaping, if needed.
